Anti U I S N Rna (Serum)
U1-Small Nuclear RNA (U1-snRNA) is U1 Spliceosomal RNA is an element of U1-snRNP. These antibodies are produced by Immune System which is associated with Mixed Connective Tissue Disorders (MCTD). This test is used to measure Anti U1-snRNA antibodies to diagnose rheumatic diseases, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and MCTD.

snRNA is a small nuclear RNA. It is composed of protein molecules and RNA.Anti-U1snRNAis autoantibodies against small nuclear RNA i.e RNA components of snRNP (small nuclear ribonucleoproteins which are RNA – Protein complexes that are responsible for post-transcriptional modification of RNA eg. removal of introns from mRNA).
