Free T - For diagnosing thyroid disorders like hyperthyroidism - Free Ttest is preferred. This test evaluates the tri-Iodo-threonine hormone in the blood level for evaluating the functioning of the thyroid gland. This test mostly suggested along with T and TSH tests for treating thyroid diseases, obesity, hypothyroidism, hypothyroidism, tumors of the thyroid, and other pathological conditions associated with the thyroid, congenital conditions, etc.


This test is usually done to assess thyroid function. It is ordered to primarily diagnose hyperthyroidism and during treatment for prognosis. This test is suggested in patients with symptoms such as unintentional weight loss, rapid heartbeat (tachycardia), irregular heartbeat (arrhythmias, pounding of the heart (palpitations), increased appetite, nervousness, anxiety, and irritability. Other associated tests include radioimmunoassay, ELISA kit methods, etc.
